About Us

St Pope Kyrillos VI & St Habib Girgis Coptic Orthodox Church was established in 2013 as part of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Sydney & Its Affiliated Regions, under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Daniel. Our church began its journey by holding services at Syd Frost Memorial Hall in Ramsgate and youth meetings at the Ramsgate Life Saving Hall.

In October 2015, we moved to 119 Barton Street, Monterey NSW 2217, a former bowling club that we lovingly transformed into a church. For ten blessed years, this location was our spiritual home, where our congregation grew in faith, love, and community.

In October 2025, by the grace of God, we relocated to our new premises at 973 King Georges Road, Blakehurst NSW, continuing our mission to serve God and His people with joy and dedication.

Our church is blessed to be under the heavenly intercessions of St Pope Kyrillos VI and St Habib Girgis the Archdeacon, two pillars of faith and holiness in the Coptic Orthodox Church.

St Pope Kyrillos VI, the 116th Pope of Alexandria, was a man of deep prayer, humility, and miraculous faith. Through his life of simplicity and devotion, he revived the spirit of monasticism and became a powerful example of pastoral love and spiritual strength.

St Habib Girgis the Archdeacon was a devoted teacher and pioneer of Christian education in the Coptic Church. His vision and tireless efforts led to the establishment of Sunday Schools across Egypt, nurturing generations in the Orthodox faith and doctrine.

Through their prayers and example, we are continually inspired to grow in holiness, service, and love for our Lord Jesus Christ.
